Mini-break Highlights

by thissparklylife

Last week was my uni break which was wonderfully relaxing and allowed me the time to get some things done that have been in the back of my mind for a while.

I cleaned out around 3/4 of my wardrobe, indulged in some pampering, was up to my ears in green juice, ate at Veggie Mama and Manna Wholefoods, caught up with friends, took my wooflet for an emergency visit to the vet (!!), hit up the markets, caught up on iLectures, attended a fire and ice themed party, went to SHBAM (so much fun!) and bought  lots of new winter clothes resulting in a wardrobe the same size as before the clean out ;)

Here are a few bits and pieces from my past week:

The Fire and Ice, Revenge inspired party (awesome theme) was one of my favourite friend’s 21st birthday party. It was a beautiful night :)

Shellac. I hardly ever have my nails painted so decided to go for fun, extreme colours; a purpley blue on my fingers and an ironic barbie pink on my toes. I was definitely in a girly mood! Unfortunately I didn’t get to see if it lasted more than a week as I had to take it off for a modelling job.

This little fur ball decided to eat half a packet of sultanas that had dropped out of my cousins bag. We had heard that grapes/sultanas weren’t great for dogs so rang up the vet for advice. After hearing that they can be extremely toxic and result in renal failure, we rushed her off to the vet where she was given a shot to try and get her to throw up and then spent 2 nights in hospital on a drip! Hectic stuff. Don’t let your dogs eat grapes, raisins or sultanas!

juicy green deliciousness

mary's crackers, grapes, capsicum, cucumber, guacamole and hummus

bean and hummus dip, cucumber, capsicum, sweet potato with coconut oil, mary's crackers and greens

I’m loving my green juice and snack plates recently. Maybe it’s my inner child that loves the tactile nature of finger food!

homemade veggie soup (yum, even though it doesn't look very appetising!)

sweet potato, quinoa and kale and greens (flash is not my friend!)

banana and strawberry smoothie from The Raw Kitchen

flat as a mirror, I love still days

SO good

a furry (fake!) winter coat addition

grapefruit with stevia

having a snuggle

waking up to a rainbow definitely calls for a great day

and last but definitely not least…

My Integrative Nutrition class materials arrived! Having done the fundamental classes I officially start the course in May, very exciting :)

Have a wonderful and inspiring week,

Emma x
